What our tools and content actually are — and what they aren't.
Last updated: May 17, 2026
The tools are starting points, not finished products
Every generator on this site produces a first draft. Wedding vows, speeches, toasts, hashtags, seating charts, and budget breakdowns are deeply personal — what the tool gives you is a starting scaffold, not a finished product. Treat the output as raw material to edit, rewrite, and personalize.
Words that feel right on a screen don't always feel right out loud. Always read your vow or speech aloud, ideally to a trusted friend, before delivering it on the day.
Cost and budget information is not financial advice
The dollar amounts, percentages, and regional ranges shown in the who-pays calculator and our blog articles are general estimates based on publicly available industry reports. Actual wedding costs vary widely by market, vendor selection, season, guest count, and dozens of other factors. Use them as starting frames for planning conversations, not as quotes you can hold any vendor to.
We are not financial advisors, accountants, or attorneys. Nothing on this site constitutes professional financial, legal, or tax advice. For major financial decisions related to your wedding — loans, contracts, prenuptial agreements — please consult an appropriate professional.
Etiquette guidance is generalized
Wedding traditions vary enormously by culture, family, religion, region, and generation. The etiquette guidance in our articles and FAQs reflects modern Western (primarily US) defaults, with light references to other traditions. They are conventions, not rules.
When in doubt about your specific family, faith community, or regional norm: ask. Your officiant, your planner, and your elders all know your context better than this site does.
Quotes and traditional content
Quotes attributed to Shakespeare, Rumi, Khalil Gibran, Lao Tzu, the Bible, and traditional blessings (Irish, Scottish, French, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese, etc.) are from public-domain or traditional sources. We've done our best to verify attribution, but if you spot an error, please let us know and we'll correct it.
Other prose in templates and articles is original work, written by us for this site.
Third-party links
Where we link to external sites (Google AdSense partner pages, opt-out tools, reference material), we do so in good faith but don't control their content. Visiting them is at your own discretion.
Hashtag uniqueness is estimated, not verified
The “Likely Unique” / “Common” / “Very Common” badge in the hashtag generator is a heuristic based on hashtag structure — it is not a real-time check against Instagram, TikTok, or any other platform. Always search a hashtag on the platforms you plan to use before committing to it for save-the-dates, signage, or printed invitations.
Wedding planning is yours, not ours
Our job is to make a few specific tasks faster. Your wedding is yours — its tone, its budget, its guest list, its traditions. If any of our suggestions feel wrong for your day, ignore them. The tools are servants of your taste, not the other way around.
